Ayesha Jhulka (born 28 July 1972 in Srinagar, India) is an Indian film actress. She has worked with actors including Mithun Chakraborty, Govinda, Aamir Khan, Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar.
Ayesha Jhulka at the Opening of Ayesha Jhulka's Spa 'Nest' Jhulka made her Hindi film acting debut in 1983. Her first major role was in 1990 in the film Meet Mere Mann Ke, and her next release was a Telugu film, Neti Siddhartha, opposite Nagarjuna Akkineni.
In 1991, she starred in Kurbaan with Salman Khan. Her 1993 films Dalaal and Rang were also successful.
Her other film with Mithun, called Suraj was successful. Her next film was Kohram.
In 1993, she was part of Waqt Hamara Hai and Meherbaan. She was praised for films Balma and Sangram, in which she played major roles along with Ajay Devgan and Karishma Kapoor. In 1992, her major success came through Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander with Aamir Khan and Khiladi with Akshay Kumar. She also acted alongside Divya Bharti with whom Jhulka was well acquainted, in the hit film Rang which happened to release after Divya Bharti's sudden demise.
In 1994, Jai Kishan did quite well, but others were flops. She performed a cameo in Akele Hum Akele Tum, which was her only film in 1995. Besides that, promos of her film Kisi Se Dil Laga Ke Dekho with Shahrukh Khan and Madhoo were on air in the same year. But that film never appeared.
After the success of Masoom, she appeared in Vishwavidhata, Ghoonghat and Hote Hote Pyar Ho Gaya with Jackie Shroff and Kajol.
She appeared in Punjabi films, including Khalsa Mero Roop Hai Khas, which did well abroad. She also had roles in Samvedna, Amma, and Janani.
She performed a cameo in Kamal Hasan's Chachi 420, which received positive reviews. She played supporting roles in the Run (2004), Socha Na Tha (2005) and Umrao Jaan (2006).
In recent years she has appeared in and produced plays, including Purush and Prakriti.
She is the daughter of Wing Commander Inder Kumar Jhulka, an Indian Air Force Officer. She is married to Sameer Vashi.
